Exotic Wooden Candlestick Holder Black African Wenge Wood Snakewood ?
This beautiful wooden candlestick holder is from the estate of a world traveler, the exact species of wood and where it is from from are unknown, but it appears to have characteristics of Black African Wenge Wood or Snakewood.
There are minor scratches and handling wear, but overall the condition is pretty good. The main knot in the middle section has slightly raised edges, possibly from drying over the years, but it does not appear to be a problem. The candlestick has been created using two pieces of turned wood, the bottom section has signs of an adhesive where it is attached to the top piece.
The candlestick weighs about 4 lbs and measures 31 1/4" high. The diameter on top is 2 3/16" and the bottom is 3 7/8".
